Description:

Belliveau apple is an Acadian apple grown in the Clare area. The Belliveau family originally grew these apples on their property in Port Royal (downtown Annapolis Royal). After the deportation order was removed, members of the returning Belliveau family settled along the Baie Sainte-Marie. Legend says that members of the family returned to their old orchards in Port Royal and took cuttings of their old trees to re-establish the apple in their new home.
