'Nova Spy'

Nova Spy apples are the result of a breeding program at the Kentville Research and Development Centre in Nova Scotia and introduced in 1986.

Nova Spy has good disease resistance.  Nova Spy is a hardy, moderately vigorous tree, and it is more precocious than Northern Spy. It is also much less disease susceptible, with good fireblight resistance and resistance to some, but not all, strains of scab.

This apple is great for snacks, salads and especially baking in pies.
