Queen Cox


Queen Cox is a self-fertile sport of Cox's Orange Pippin.  It has a slightly improved coloration, and has all the aromatic qualities associated with Cox's Orange Pippin, and in flavour terms is by any standards a remarkably good apple.



Mainly used for fresh eating. 



Late season, October



Akane, Cortland, Dolgo (Crab), Granny Smith, Gala, McIntosh, Yellow Transparent, Wolf River, Sweet Sixteen


White flowering crabapples are also good pollinisers for this variety.
